Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist - home visitation The Eucharistic Ministers are a dedicated group of people. They assist in the distribution of the Holy Eucharist during the Mass, and bring Holy Communion to the elderly at the Village of Winston Park and the Westmount nursing home and homebound parishioners. If you are interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, please contact the parish office.
Prayer Shawls The purpose of this Ministry is to give prayer shawls we have created to those individuals who are in need of comfort and healing. These may include men or women going through surgery or chemotherapy, during times of illness and recovery, for the bereaved or for expectant mothers. These shawls will literally wrap the recipients in prayer, reminding them of God’s love for them. We accept donations of completed shawls or wool. Prison Ministry Members of our parish are involved in the Prison Ministry delivering pastoral care to the Grand Valley Institution for Women. This is a minimum security residential-style apartment unit with a residential-style small group accommodation houses for minimum and medium-security inmates.
