FINANCE COUNCIL
In accordance with Dioceses' law, a Finance Council exists in the parish. This excellent advisory group, under the chairmanship of Chartered Accountant Michael Stephenson, helps to keep order in the exercise of our responsibility to use well the generous offerings made by God’s people. The members of the council are appointed at the discretion of the Pastor. There are currently 6 members of the Council. Once a year the Finance Report approves and presents to the parish community annual financial report. |
MONEY COUNTERS
Teams serve the community by counting and recording the weekend, and special, offertory collections. There are currently 6 teams of 2 serve per session. Membership is by invitation and a high level screening is required. |
SCREENING COMMITTEE
Volunteers are vital to the life of our parish community. Without the dedication and generosity of our volunteers, most of the parish ministries and groups would not exist. We are always grateful, and bless God for the gift of these people that are the blood of our very vibrant and active parish community. In order to maintain the integrity and the safety of our volunteers, the church and the community we serve, all volunteers are required to be screened by the parish screening committee. In cases that involve contact with the vulnerable members of our community, a police background check may also be required. The screening interview is a very short question and answer session that establishes your suitability to a particular volunteer position. More information from the Hamilton Diocese can be viewed here. The Committee is currently chaired by Deacon Neil Devereaux. |
