--> GENERAL TIPS FOR EVERYONE 1. Above all, always show proper reverence to the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle—not only during the liturgy but also before and after. Let your actions reflect the respect and devotion due to this holy presence. 2. As a leader, your role extends beyond your scheduled duties. Be an example of an engaged and active parishioner at all times. 3. Your actions can overlap with preceding ones to ensure a smooth flow and avoid unnecessary delays. Some tasks are meant to be carried out discreetly in the background, rather than drawing attention to the foreground. 4. Embrace the opportunity to train new candidates and volunteers, fostering a continuous and unbroken line of service at the sacred altar. |
"This presence of Christ in the Eucharist is called "real" not to exclude other types of his presence as if they could not be understood as real (cf. Catechism, no. 1374). The risen Christ is present to his Church in many ways, but most especially through the sacrament of his Body and Blood." (Read more here)

-> A TIP FOR USHERS If the collection takes too long, expedite the Offertory Procession by proceeding without the basket. The basket can be placed at the altar later or transferred directly to the sacristy. -> A TIP FOR USHERS Please encourage anyone with a disability to sit in the front pew near the tabernacle, as Holy Communion will not be brought to the back pews. |
-> A TIP FOR THE CROSS BEARER If the collection takes longer, the cross bearer should not wait. Ask the gift bearers to proceed with the gifts and begin the offertory procession. The collection basket can be brought to the altar afterward. -> A TIP FOR ACOLYTES When receiving gifts with the priest take the cruets with wine and water directly to the altar, not the side credence. |
